Terms And Conditions

1) I appoint and authorise Move U for a period of 3 months from the date of this contract to act as my agent in searching for a property to purchase or, as the case may be, to rent on the terms below.

2) Move U agrees to use reasonable endeavours to find a suitable property for me to purchase or, as the case may be, to rent in accordance with the specification and criteria provided by me but any choice of property is my responsibility.

3) I will pay Move U prior to the commencement of their service please referrer to price list  fees 

4) A property or vendor will be deemed to have been introduced by Move U if you have, during the search period, received details of such property or vendor from Move U Relocation Service.

5) I agree that, if Move U considers that it may assist in the search for a property, it may instruct or seek at no additional cost to me (unless agreed otherwise by me in writing) the cooperation of other intermediaries or agents. I will be liable to pay fees to Move U only.

6) All information and particulars of property provided by Move U are for the purposes of guidance only and do not form part of the contract between us.

7) Move U shall not be responsible for any indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever, nor shall Move U be liable for any claims for consequential compensation, which arise out of or in connection with any property or this contract. This paragraph does not affect claims in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Move U and does not limit or exclude any liability for fraudulent misrepresentation.

8) Move U has advised me to take my own professional advice and to use the services of solicitors, surveyors, valuers, financial advisers or providers and other specialists as necessary, for whose fees I am solely responsible, even if such parties have been introduced by Move U Relocation Service. Move U may receive fees from companies we introduce you to. No liability for defects in relation to any property, availability of finance or advice received.

09) I agree to compensate Move U for any reasonable sum incurred on my behalf and for any loss or costs or expenses incurred or suffered by Move U as a result of any act, omission, delay or representation made by me or on my behalf, or in relation to any false or incorrect information provided by me.

10) None of the terms of this contract will be enforceable by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by any person that is not a party to it.

11) Data Protection: I understand and agree that Move U may use my personal information provided during the period of my instruction for property searches and acquisitions, independent mortgage and financial advice, arranging local and national advertising, arranging viewings, help and advice to completion, advertising on the internet, negotiations with potential vendors, instructing solicitors on agreed purchase and arranging surveys and valuations. Move U may disclose my information to vendors and to other intermediaries or agents for these purposes. Move U may keep my information for a reasonable period and may contact me about services in the future. If I do not wish Move U to do this, I am entitled to write to them accordingly.

12) I have a right to ask for a copy of my information and to correct any inaccuracies in the data. A small administration fee may be charged to cover costs.

13) This contract shall be governed by English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English court.

14) Refunds will only be considered in the following circumstances:

  • No work has been carried out by any member of the relocation team with respect to property searches.
  • No detail, save that which was provided by you at the time of the verification call, is added or amended post the verification call, which was detailed to you in email. This also applies to any other details that will/could influence your being accepted for a property by an agent, landlord or property owner.
  • No viewing details have been recieved by you from Move-U. Move-U store emails sent to our members in a secure, auditable system.
  • You have emailed your refund request to cs@move-you.co.uk fully detailing the reasons for your requested refund.
  • Where you have provided all the information required and have set a budget that is at least equal to the average of the budget required for three similar properties in the search areas specified by you.
  • Where Move-U find in your favour the following value of refund will apply:
